what is Jase868?

I was thinking about ways I could combine all of my interests academic, personal, pop culture and decided to start Jase868. 

Jase is the shortened version of my name and it's what my friends call me and 868 is tribute to my country, my foundation, my place of birth Trinidad & Tobago. (868 spells TNT on the phone pad)

In this space, you will see my thoughts on my areas of interests, what I am doing professionally, any events I may be involved in  and witness the thoughts and insight of others on my podcast.

The environment is one where we get to co-create content, develop ideas, question ideologies and engage in critical thinking on issues in a safe space.

As a PhD Candidate studying Organizational Communication at the University of Ottawa,  I am currently focused on artificial intelligence and its relationship with organizational knowing  in public sector organizations but I am excited about most things organizational communication related.

I have embraced the term social scientist because a lot of what we do is look at the ways in which variables  affect the various stakeholders; in simpler terms I just try to see how things work.

Between music (soca to the world!), planning things, advocating for representation of the Caribbean diaspora, men's mental health, collaborating on research and being a part-time professor, there's a lot to discuss.
